Ronald P. EvensRon Evens is President of M.A.P.S. 4 Biotec, Inc, consulting to biotechnology ; pharma industry for Medical Affairs & product launch, especially strategy, planning, staffing, & operations for clinical trials (phase 1, 2, 3b, 4), plus medical education, publication planning, medical science liaisons, pharmacy affairs, & product information (marketed & pipeline).  Some clients include Manipal Acunova, Amgen, Bertek, Amylin, and Pharmacyclics.  Dr. Evens also is clinical professor at University of Florida for industry & biotechnology.  Ron serves on national advisory boards for University of Florida, Biotechnology Development Incubator, and Colleges of Pharmacy in Florida and Midwestern; previously with Cheladerm, Inc (drug company); HDMA Healthcare Foundation; American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Research & Education Foundation; Medical societies in Hematology and Oncology.

Previously at Amgen (13 years), he created and directed the Professional Services Department, which was responsible for information, research, and communications for marketed products. Dr. Evens was Associate Director, Clinical Research & Medical Services, at Bristol-Myers Co.; Associate Professor; Chairman of Department of Pharmacy Practice, University of Tennessee, Memphis, TN. He created the Drug Information Center and was Associate Professor at Univ. of Texas at Austin and Univ. of Texas Center for Health Sciences.  Research has been oncology, nephrology, hepatology, arthritis, infections, pain, and CNS.

Dr. Evens received a B.S. in Pharmacy at Univ. of Buffalo, N.Y., plus internship at Meyer Memorial Hospital in Buffalo.  Graduate work was at Univ. of Kentucky for Pharm. D. & residency (3 years) and Univ. of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, Marketing 101 for Scientists.
