Richard V. McCloskey, M.D., is retired Vice President of Medical Technology for Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, prior to which he was Vice President of Medical Research at Centocor, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Previous positions at Centocor have been Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, and Vice President of Clinical Research.

Dr. McCloskey began his academic career with faculty positions at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and Duke University. His next positions were Chief of Infectious Diseases at Presbyterian Medical Center and Chairman, Department of Medicine at the Daroff Division of the Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. McCloskey's first industry position was as Assistant Vice President for Medical Research at Hoffmann-LaRoche.

Dr. McCloskey is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease and received his M.D. from the University of Rochester. Dr. McCloskey contributes extensive knowledge on drug development in a number of disease areas and practical experience on development of recombinant monoclonal antibodies in particular.
