Welcome to the Incubator!

The University of Florida’s Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator is a pioneer in bio-business incubation and a unique component of UF’s successful commercialization efforts (Business Week). Since 2002 our companies have received $241 million of investment and $89 million in grant awards.

International Recognition

Our program placed 2nd in an international competition for 2007 Technology Incubator of the Year. Our 40,000 square foot customized facility features 22 wet labs, $1 million of shared equipment, an animal facility, fermentation facility, and climate controlled greenhouse. We focus on assisting companies with introductions to experienced management and investor groups.

A Leader in Florida’s Growing Bioscience Industry

In 2007 we launched Florida BioDatabase, a free, comprehensive, online database with information on all Florida biotech and bio-medical device companies. Sixteen percent of all Florida bioscience companies have been admitted to our incubation program.
